Fourth grade is off to a busy start. We have been working on main idea as we read stories about life in the desert and animals in our national parks. Vocabulary is also an important part of our reading instruction - both as a part of our stories - and in Vocabulary Workshop. In Math we've been working on place value. We're also working on different kinds of graphs. Social Studies had us starting out with maps and globes. We've explored the continents, oceans, and the states of the United States. In Science we've been exploring the Earth, moon, the water cycle, and weather. Fourth grade is an exciting year with much to learn and we're looking forward to learning it all.
